The Aquarium Series · Cabo Pulmo, Mexico

Underwater Fine Art Photography

The Aquarium Series was made underwater at Cabo Pulmo, on the Sea of Cortez in Baja California Sur, Mexico. Cabo Pulmo has been a protected national marine park since 1995, and protection has let its sea life return in remarkable numbers.

The series follows what lives there: a school of yellowtail turning gold against black water, a dense school moving through blue-green light, yellowtail passing over green coral, and a reef wall rising through deep blue.

The works

Each work is printed large, so the school reads at close to life size on the wall.

The series continues beyond Mexico with South Pacific Blue, from a reef lagoon in French Polynesia.
